In BodyMagick Temple we dance free of guilt and shame and strut into our most glittering manifestations -- shining our light for all, but most importantly for ourselves.
We welcome all skill levels, backgrounds and gender identities to create a Burlesque act that celebrates their sensuality, power and joy!
Join online any time, or a periodic in person series in Portland, OR. Our experienced High Priestesses will guide you through all the steps of concepting, building and polishing a stunning act to perform on our stage, and beyond!
Online Initiation
Work through the modules at your own pace, and have live, online meetings with our High Priestesses to develop and fine tune your act for a Showcase with us in Portland, OR, and apply to other shows.
You have access to the online classroom as long as you keep our agreements of privacy and respect for all, so return as often as you like to refresh yourself or deepen into the training and resources!

1 with Eva to determine act focus and storyline, 1 to workshop choreography with Eva; and 1 more with the High Priestess of your choice for additional polishing and another perspective. Additional private sessions are available for a discounted rate.

In Person Initiation
In person Intitiations are offered about twice a year in Portland, OR. We work through the modules as a group, with the series culminating in a fabulous performance of love and sparkles. A sample course flow is below.
This is a hybrid-style course with teaching materials online -- accessible immediately following registration, so you can start working with them right away. In-person sessions focus on movement instruction and Q&A for building and polishing a stunning act to perform in a paid Showcase, and submit to other productions.
In-person attendees must be fully vaccinated for COVID. All of our teachers are fully vaccinated. We appreciate you understanding that some of us have health conditions that make us more vulnerable, and work for ourselves so don't have sick leave. If the public health situation requires it, classes will move online.
As with the online Initiation, you have access to the online classroom as long as you keep our agreements of privacy and respect for all, so you can access it when building future acts.

Access to the online classroom begins immediately after you register, so you can begin learning the material and working on your act before we start meeting.
Our schedule includes Work Weeks when we don't meet as a group, so that you have time to put what you learn into action, and for your private sessions with our High Priestesses. -

In Person Initiation Timing:
You will receive access to the online classroom upon registration so that you may begin preparing. In addition to the main topic listed for each meeting, we will have movement training and answer your act and Burlesque questions.
This is a sample Initiation flow; the exact schedule will be shared upon joining, or you can email Eva or book a call to check dates. Meetings are 6:30-9pm at a private studio in Southeast Portland, OR.

Performing
When you complete the Initiation you're eligible to perform in one of our Portland, OR Showcases.
Showcases are paid performances. All performers receive a share of the door, and professional stage video and photos.
If you cannot come to Portland, we will help you apply to your local shows. We can't speak for other producers on bookings, but we'll guide you through the submission process and tell them why we recommend you.

High Priestess of Tease and International Burlesque Performer Eva D’Luscious covers act development, including storytelling through dance, principles of musicality, choreography and stage presence, how to break down music and her 4Ps of Striptease.

Hailing from the sexy side of the moon, Luna Phaze mystifies audiences wherever she goes. Luna has always had a passion for self-improvement and building confidence from within. She loves to help babes tap into their inner confidence, overcome self-doubt and find their personal brand of shine.
Vanity Thorn
High Priestess of Glam
As the High Priestess of Glam Vanity Thorn brings 10+ years of work in the beauty and fashion industry to create workshops accessible to all levels of learners. Her focus is the demystification of high glamour, so that all students may adopt the knowledge of their innate sexuality.
Ri Ri SynCyr
High Priestess of Glam
Known as the Mayor of Chubbytown, Portland-based performer RiRi SynCyr has been shaking her glittering gams across the U.S. since 2003. This plus sized Puerto Rican cutie learned her love of performing from her parents, and is our costuming expert.
FAQ
Do I need dance or performance experience to take this series?
Not at all! This is perfect for people brand new to the stage. We will help you craft an act you're proud of and grow your movement skills, but not even all experienced Burleskers are dancers.
If I'm doing the online series, how do I meet with you?
We meet via Zoom, or another online meeting site if Zoom doesn't work for you. Eva has been holding online classes even before The Pause and has students in Alaska, Southern California and Canada. We do hope someday we'll meet in person though!
Do you offer trades or special pricing?
Trades aren't available at this time, but we are building a scholarship fund to assist marginalized groups, including single parents. Please contact us if you're interested in this.
Do I need an act idea to join the series?
Nope! We'll help you there too, but a great start for inspiration is to attend online and local Burlesque shows, and watch videos.
